For over 35 years, Michael H. Marks has dedicated his life and his practice to legally advocating on behalf of the elderly throughout the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area. His firm, Marks Elder Law, actively works in helping elderly individuals prepare for their future. As an elder law attorney, his goal is to address the issues that directly affect elderly citizens. Marks Elder Law specializes in services such as estate planning, asset protection, designating power of attorney, and many other future- focused services. His firm’s commitment to operating with integrity and a philosophy that promotes being informed are what has helped Marks Elder Law become so successful.
Michael Marks’ collegiate career kept him in the Pittsburgh area. He obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. He was elected to the Order of the Barristers, an organization dedicated to the reinforcement of advocacy and writing skills in moot court and mock trial programs. While in law school, Michael H. Marks completed a clerkship with the prestigious Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Complementing his acclaimed legal education, Michael Marks also received his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Business. During his time in this program, the faculty elected him to Beta Gamma Sigma, a nationally recognized academic honor society. Upon completion of his degree, having been born, raised, and educated in Pittsburgh, PA, Michael H. Marks knew that it was only right that he opened Marks Elder Law in the area.
Outside of his professional life, Michael Marks is an active member of his community. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Gateway Rehabilitation Center. Additionally, he chairs two committees within the center as well. Michael holds memberships with the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the Pennsylvania Association of Elder Law Attorneys.
When he isn’t busy helping his clients or volunteering, you can find Michael Marks fishing, playing tennis, or enjoying time with his beloved wife.
